Cookie Policy

Last updated: February 22, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Sezi LLC, doing business as DocPulse ("we", "us", "our"), uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at https://www.docpulse.net ("Service").

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your web browser when you visit a website. They are used to remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and enable essential website functionality.

2. Cookies We Use

DocPulse uses only strictly necessary cookies. We do not use any advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking cookies.

Cookie Purpose Duration Type
connect.sid Session management — keeps you logged in and stores your authentication state 30 days Strictly necessary

This cookie is a first-party, HTTP-only, secure cookie set with the SameSite=Lax attribute. It cannot be accessed by JavaScript and is only sent over HTTPS in production.

3. What We Don't Use

To be clear about what we do not do:

  • No Google Analytics or any other analytics tracking
  • No advertising cookies or tracking pixels
  • No social media cookies or widgets
  • No third-party cookies of any kind
  • No fingerprinting or supercookies
  • No cross-site tracking

4. Document Viewer Tracking

When someone views a document through a tracked link, we collect analytics data (page views, time on page, IP address, user agent) via our API. This tracking uses JavaScript-based event reporting — not cookies. No cookies are set on the viewer's browser for the purpose of document analytics. If the viewer passes through an email gate or password gate, their verified status is stored in their existing session.

5. Managing Cookies

Since we only use a single strictly necessary cookie, there is no cookie consent banner required. However, you can manage cookies through your browser settings:

  • Block cookies: You can block cookies in your browser settings, but this will prevent you from logging in to DocPulse
  • Delete cookies: You can delete the connect.sid cookie at any time; you will simply be logged out
  • Private browsing: Using private/incognito mode will prevent the cookie from persisting after you close the browser

6. Local Storage & Similar Technologies

We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to store personal information. We may use these technologies for non-personal client-side functionality such as UI state.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we start using additional cookies or similar technologies, we will update this policy and implement appropriate consent mechanisms as required by law.

8. Contact Us

If you have questions about our use of cookies, contact us at privacy@docpulse.net.
