Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the DocPulse website and service located at https://www.docpulse.net ("Service"), operated by Sezi LLC, doing business as DocPulse ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Registration

To use DocPulse, you must create an account by providing your name, email address, and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. Description of Service

DocPulse allows you to upload PDF documents, create tracked links for recipients, and view analytics about how recipients interact with those documents, including page views, time spent, and return visits. The Service also provides email notifications and activity digests.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
  • Upload content that infringes on any intellectual property rights of others
  • Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in phishing
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service in a way that could damage, disable, or impair it
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without permission
  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of any documents you upload to DocPulse. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and serve your documents solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not claim any ownership rights over your content. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and share any documents through the Service.

5. Document Tracking & Recipient Consent

When you share a tracked link, recipients who open the link will be subject to analytics tracking including page views, time on page, IP address collection, and geographic location derived from their IP address. You are responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding tracking and data collection from your recipients, including obtaining any necessary consent. We provide tools such as email gating that can help you identify recipients, but compliance with privacy laws remains your responsibility.

6. Pricing & Payments

DocPulse offers a free tier (up to 3 documents) and a paid Pro plan ($5/month for unlimited documents). Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the payment method you provide on a recurring monthly basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial months.

7. Free Tier Limitations

Free accounts are limited to 3 documents. Each document that receives at least one view counts toward this limit. Viewed documents cannot be deleted to free up credits. To upload additional documents beyond the free limit, you must upgrade to the Pro plan.

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep DocPulse available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that is harmful to other users or the Service. Upon termination, your documents and associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DocPulse and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DocPulse and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
